ScanToPDF

ScanToPDF can be used to convert scanned documents to PDF format. It can retrieve documents and images from mostly any modern scanner. Furthermore, the software provides support for batch scanning, which means that you can scan several items in one run, after which you can decide to save them as separate PDFs or a single one.

The software is free to try without any functionality restrictions, but it will place a watermark on your scanned images, while in trial mode. Its setup package is small, so it shouldn't take more than a minute to download and install the program. You can run it on any modern Windows platform, without encountering any difficulties.

Scanning a document or a picture is quite easy. All you have to do is hit the Scan option, on the software's clean and simple user interface and it will start scanning immediately, using your default scanning device. You can scan several documents one by one and they will appear as thumbnails in a column, on the left side of the interface.

Besides retrieving contents from a scanner, it is also possible to import digital pictures and to save them in PDF format. Furthermore, saving PDFs in local folders is not the only output method. The software can send your scanned or imported items to other people via email.

The software allows you to make various tweaks in a general settings menu. It is worth mentioning that ScanToPDF can be set to password-protect the output PDFs, to restrict certain features, like printing a PDF or copying its contents, to attach author information and more.
